Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 April 2026

These terms govern your use of ThinkWell (the "app"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. You agree not to share your account with anyone else.

Your content

Everything you write, record, or attach in the app — entries, entities, relationships, events, connections, photos, audio, locations, preferences — is yours. You grant us only the minimum licence needed to deliver the app to you: to store your content on our infrastructure, transmit it between your devices, send the relevant parts to our AI inference provider for entity extraction and insight generation, and display it back to you. We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not use it to train any model, share it with advertisers, or sell it. This licence lasts only as long as your content exists in our systems — when you delete an entry, reset your account, or delete your account, the licence to that content ends.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app to store or process illegal content, content that infringes someone else's rights, or content designed to harm others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this.

AI-generated content

The app uses AI (Anthropic, accessed via AWS Bedrock in the EU) to extract entities, suggest connections and produce insights from your writing. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or biased. Treat it as a suggestion, not a fact. You are responsible for deciding what to keep and what to discard.

Third-party services

ThinkWell relies on a small set of third parties to run. These are listed in our Privacy Policy under "Third-party processors" along with what data each one receives. Your use of any of them through ThinkWell is also subject to that provider's own terms:

Availability

The app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, or for the loss of any content. Always keep your own backup of anything you would be upset to lose.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. Doing so permanently removes all your content from our servers and ends the content licence described above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
